Marriage Equality

An article in the Sun-Herald newspaper on Sunday 11 November 2018 said that well over 5000 couples who could not marry before 2017 have done so in the past twelve months since marriage equality became law.
Since the legislation changed in December 2017, same sex marriages have been performed in Australia as follows -
Queensland 1094; New South Wales 1916; A.C.T. 115; Victoria 1343; South Australia 312; Western Australia 423; Northern Territory 45; Tasmania 108
